Hello! As you guessed, I’m Laura and I ramble in every sense of the word. I’m not a succinct storyteller, especially not when it comes to my travels to both real and fictional places. There’s a quote by Michael Scott that I relate to…
“Sometimes I’ll start a sentence and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way.”
This normally happens when I get really excited about something and just start talking without thinking through the story flow first.
This blog is for me to ramble about my national, international, and fictional ramblings, in a more succinct and coherent manner. Allow me a second to explain the fictional world aspect. Everyone has books/shows/movies they love to re-watch or “re-visit” because they enjoy some aspect of that fictional world, whether it’s the characters or the location. Some of my favorite fictional places to get lost in are Middle-earth, Hogwarts, Stars Hollow, Dunder Mifflin, Pawnee, Greendale Community College, and so many others.
Exploring new places or visiting old haunts always inspires me to sketch my surroundings, journal in a traveler’s notebook, or craft something. That feeling of nostalgia when I open my old sketchbook, traveler’s notebook, or pull out an art project years later is indescribable. I want others to experience that feeling as well.
My goal is to inspire you to adventure to worlds both real and imaginary while igniting your creativity so
you can experience these innate qualities that exist in each of us.
I hope you enjoy reading about my past, current, and fictional adventures. If anything, I just hope I inspire you to make adventures and artwork of your own.
Keep rambling,
Laura
