Location: Chicago – along the Chicago River
Favorite Memory: Finally seeing the neon green river.
It has always been on my hometown bucket list to see the Chicago River transformed green. The weekend before St. Patrick’s Day Chicago dyes the river green for the holiday. There’s also a parade, but I’m not really into crowds so I was fine skipping that part of the day’s festivities. After finally seeing the river green, I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s sort of weird. But I have checked it off my list! After walking along the river we went to Macy’s for some shopping. It’s dizzying when you look up at their skylights.
