Los Angeles, CA Top 3
3. Hollywood Walk of Fame
Location: Hollywood Boulevard, Vine St, Los Angeles, CA 90028
There are two ways to experience the Hollywood Walk of Fame – plan ahead or aimlessly wander. I vote for plan ahead since it covers more distance than you might imagine. Figure out the location of each star you want to see. No matter which way you choose to explore it will always feel like a walk down memory lane. I was able to get my picture by Keanu Reeve’s, Lucille Ball’s, Hanz Zimmer’s stars, and a lot more. It was really fun thinking about the different movies and TV shows each were a part of and where I was in my life when they had an impact on me. I remember being a little kid sitting on the carpet in front of our TV watching I Love Lucy, going to see the John Wick movies with my Dad, and listening to The Dark Knight soundtrack by Hanz Zimmer while running the Chicago Marathon.

2. Griffith Obervatory
Location: 2800 E Observatory Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90027
I was never into “space stuff,” but everyone recommends the Griffith Observatory. I checked it out to see what all the fuss was about and I changed my tune about astronomy. I waited in line to see the moon through the Zeiss Telescope and was blown away by how close and clear it looked. It was like looking at a picture in a textbook. The museum was also neat and the view over LA was beautiful during the golden hour.

1. The Huntington
Location: 1151 Oxford Rd, San Marino, CA 91108
If you saw my other post about being in love with the Natural History and Medicine exhibits, then it’s no surprise my favorite site was The Huntington. This place is ideal for people who enjoy exploring botanical gardens, art galleries, and library exhibits!

That’s the list of my favorite sites in Los Angeles. Do you have a favorite spot in LA? If so, I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
Happy travels,

I thought the La Brea tar pits were pretty cool. But the Griffith Observatory is tough to turn down!

We didn’t make it to the tar pits. Maybe next time! I still need to make it to Getty also.
